Stormwater Harvesting
Keeping litter and leaves out of stormwater harvesting collection systems is an important design consideration. Use Enviss Filter Screens on collection pits to keep these pollutants out of the system and at the surface where they can be easily cleaned away.
Vegetated Treatment Systems
High velocity water entering vegetated treatment systems, such as bioretention and rain gardens can quickly scour the surface layers. Due to the random nature of the pores in the infill material, Enviss Filtration Grates can help dissipate velocity and distribute stormwater flows into these systems.

Tree Pits and Kerb Inlets
Tree pits that are fed from kerb inlets can quickly collect litter that is washed in during storms and that can be difficult to remove. Using an Enviss Filter Grate insert can keep these pollutants out the pit and in the street where they can be collected by regular street sweeping.
Low Level Outlets
Surcharge pits are commonly used to bring water to the surface for treatment and they should be drained between storms to prevent stagnant water. Small diameter outlets can be protected from blockage by gross pollutants by using vertically mounted Enviss Filter Screens.
