Car Wash Stormwater Harvesting
Enviss designed and manufactured a small water filtration and disinfection plant for the stormwater harvesting system at a car wash in Mount Evelyn, Melbourne. The harvesting system captures roof and hardstand runoff in large raw water storage prior to treatment. The treatment plant filters and disinfects the water to meet harvesting guidelines prior to use in the car wash.
Enviss worked with the clients consulting engineer and contractor to integrate other components of the harvesting system into control panel provided by Enviss. This allowed one PLC and a single HMI interface to control the whole system rather than a series of discrete controllers.
The harvesting system was installed as part of the Little Stringybark Creek project which aims to investigate the impact of catchment wide stormwater harvesting and treatment.
